Loved the easy walk to the beach(no beach chairs or towels provided) but the condo was worn and not very clean. Kitchen is very small with hodgepodge of pots & pans. Toaster sparked. Rental comp never mentioned tarp covering roof. Furniture comfortable but worn. Liked that it was pet friendly.

We are very appreciative that this rental will accept pets.
The process for renting was extremely easy & professional.
First impressions of 104 Fairway Lane were favorable.
The bedrooms are very comfortable. The bathrooms are small but adiquate.
There is a laundry area and an outside "rinsing off" area that were both helpful after going to the beach. There is a private parking spot next to the house--a safe and secure area.
The walk to the beach was as advertised--an easy walk along a paved sidewalk. The pool access required driving a distance.
The AC is excellent. We were 100% comfortable with the temperature at all times. There is a large yard and patio area for sitting outside. The shaded yard area is perfect to walk a dog.
Concerns: The kitchen is small and in need of an update in every respect.
I'm sure it's difficult to keep things organized in a rental. But this kitchen set a new standard for chaos. For a two bedroom there was just too much "stuff" thrown into cabinets and drawers. Better to have a few nicer cooking utensils and dishes than to have a hodgepodge of things.
Though most of the house was generally clean--there was an issue on the carpet--an obvious pet urine stain that should have been taken care of before our arrival, especially considering the $250 non-refundable pet deposit. (We did not report this because our time was precious and we didn't want to schedule a cleaning or have our schedule disrupted.)
Our issues and concerns did not ruin our week at the beach but considering the cost and the pet deposit we expected a more updated and well cared for rental.

The condo was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed for a nice stay. The yard was lovely and a nice extra for our dog.

This villa was perfect for us, lots of space for us 4 to spread out (2 kids), comfortable furnishings, and clean. The ground level was very ideal for our dog, and the walk to the beach was just 5 minutes.

Great location—close to uncrowned beach and Sea Pines Forest Preserve.

Location is perfect! I love the privacy of the end unit. I agree with the other renters about the A/C unit. Because I have stayed here before, I brought a fan with me. The bed in the master is quite uncomfortable as other renters stated. It’s an old mattress that needs to be replaced. The space is great. The mattress and A/C would not keep me from renting again. However, the ants are worse! It is crazy that the ant problem has not been taken care of.. I really thought the ants would be gone after my last review. You can not walk outside without getting a bite or 2 each time. I think the fee should cover that.

Great location, very short walk to the beach and nice, large private end unit. Great spot for walking dogs or bike riding. Loved being able to use the Beach Club and all those amenities and being able to bring our dog to the home. Home is older and needs some updates. The bed in master was very uncomfortable and should be replaced. The yard was overrun by ants to the point you couldn't stand out there without getting bit and having several climb on you. This is unfortunate because you can't enjoy the yard and view of lagoon and golf course.

Very Nice Property & location. Some various issues arose on the property with staff's immediate response. Convenient, but no nearby pool. Free pass to community pool was provided.

House was clean and in a great location. Especially enjoyed the sunroom. Really appreciate that property is dog friendly. We would stay here again for sure.

Everything was clean and nicely stocked. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again. Sea Turtle was extremely responsive and helpful when I accidently lost our welcome packet. Thanks.

The location was great. It was a five minute easy walk to the beach. The South Beach pool was far but we never used it. Villa has most of what we needed and was very spacious.

The location was perfect! It really is walking distance to the beach! Even if you have more than one, carrying chairs and cooler.. it is manageable. I could walk my dog to the beach in the morning.. come back and drop him off.. get my chair, umbrella and cooler and walk back to the beach. The cottage was perfect for me. It has carpet which I didn’t mind because I have a golden retriever that is very nervous walking on hard woods. There was a great place to walk my dogs.. my only complaint is the area adjacent to the cottage was not treated for ants. And it was kind of ridiculous- the amount of ants made the space unusable. But I would definitely stay there again!

Property was clean and in a good location.

My wife and I had a really great time. The Villa was very clean. We've stayed here at this same villa every year for about 5 years now. The unit is always ready and always enjoyable. Perfect location for us. Friends own a unit very close. Beach is a short walk. Easy access to everything on the Island.

We had a great girl’s weekend! We had lots of room in our unit and were pleased with our stay. The unit was clean and in a good location. Love to come to Hilton Head is very relaxing and lots of awesome restaurants!

This was our second time at Fairway Lane 104 and we plan to reserve also in 2019. This place is prefect for us and the dog has plenty of space to exercice. Beach is 5 min. walk from the door, which is very nice. The bed in the master bedroom is firm (super for me). The living room couch is very dirty (did not matter too much for me since I am bringing my own cover).

There were no real challenges. There was plenty of space for two people, enough for 6 for that matter. Well furnished, although maybe could use a facelift. Everything was clean with the exception of when I went to use the washer/dryer, it was obvious it hadn't been used in a very long time. It would have been very NICE if I hadn't had to use them either. Very dusty on top. If the renting company had provided more than one dish cloth and one dish towel and enough face and hand towels, using the washer/dryer would not have been necessary, or at least not the first day. Shame on you!

Great rental experience. Great location. Great people to work with. House was clean. Everything was there that was needed. Close walk to beach. Close to other areas and restaurants great place to stay to ride bikes to explore Hilton Head. Look forward to coming back next summer for our annual trip and staying at the same place and using same company.

We stayed here 2/17-2/21/2020. It was just the 2 of us and our flatcoat. We liked the villa, especially the beautiful view of the live oaks and the golf course from the large rear room. The villa provided all the conveniences that we needed. The location was perfect for frequent walks on the beautiful beach and through the Sea Pines walking path. We met many residents and visitors, everyone was very nice.

we had a great stay at this condo. very spacious inside
outside property was large and private
would definitely recommend
however, the furniture was very uncomfortable and dirty, needs replacing.
no amenities such as garbage bags, paper towels, dish soap
cabinets are original and drawers were falling apart.
the place could definitely use updating especially the furniture
we could not get the door unlocked from the kitchen to the back where the garbage cans were located and I could not get the patio door open without my husband
we would stay again because of the location and spaciousness. and pet friendly but would prefer NO carpet

We loved the property and plan to come back. We were evacuated because of Hurricane Dorian.
The staff, subject to the same risks, was available and tactful. We appreciated it.

This past Labor Day was our 3rd time renting this unit. We love the quiet location and proximity to everything. The beach is a brief walk. The unit is well maintained and is always clean. The Sea Turtle Staff has always been pleasant, professional and accommodating. We will continue to rent here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Sea Pines.

I read the other reviews carefully before I booked this rental. This was a great place for us, although it's not for everyone. It's an older space, but it's kept in wonderful condition. Everyone else is right: It gets CRAZY hot in the sun room area in the afternoon, even with all the blinds closed and with the A/C on. We ended up going to the hardware store to buy a fan to make it more comfortable. The main living space is very large and comfortable. If you need everything new and modern, pick a different spot, but we loved the "time capsule" nature of the place.
I have one a few complaints which are coupled with a big compliment. There were two issues: 1. the propane grill outside had not been cleaned before our arrival. The paperwork says that you must clean the grill after using it, but clearly, a previous renter had not cleaned it, and no one had checked on that before we arrived. The result was a pretty dramatic grease fire in the grill! Luckily, it was out on the patio, and my husband and I dealt with it without getting the fire department involved. 2. The air conditioning filters were in need of cleaning. I alerted Sea Turtle Getaways about both of these issues, and they responded IMMEDIATELY! Within a few hours, they had sent out contractors to address both issues. So my advice is that if you have any issues, contact STG and let them know, and they will respond immediately.
It was a very comfortable place to stay. The location is lovely. The view of the giant live oak outside in the back with the Spanish Moss is stunning. We loved the room where the trash cans are. It's not exactly pretty, but it's a great place to stash bikes when you aren't using them, a place to rinse off your dog or yourself if you need to before coming inside.
The kitchen is small and well-stocked with equipment, although the knives aren't quite as sharp as I'd like (but I'm picky). This unit is down at the end of a row, so it's very private.
We'd

Walk to beach was not bad at all, just had to cross one street and walk down a shady walkway. This unit had a good place to walk the dog with a small field adjacent. The only major complaint was the AC unit is underpowered or not working well. Every afternoon the house became hot. The AC could not keep up with the summer heat. During the night, it cooled well.

The only negative was a dishwasher full of clean dishes I had to unload upon arrival which was really no big deal. Just seemed odd.
- Kevin P. from Maineville, OH, Posted: 06/21/2022
Thank you for your review! We ask all guests to load and start the dishwasher prior to departure so that housekeeping can put everything away for the new guests, however, sometimes our housekeepers end up having to load and start the dishwasher.. If the cycle is not complete by the time they are moving to the next property, unfortunately, it will have to be left running. We are glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and we hope to see you back again next year!
