Forest Beach

Forest Beach has been nicknamed the "Ocean Community" of Hilton Head Island. The neighborhoods of North and South Forest Beach comprise the popular shoreline between Sea Pines and Shipyard Plantations and are known for their casual, relaxed atmosphere.

At the center of these two beach areas you will find the islands original shopping plaza known as Coligny Plaza by the Sea. Featuring more than 60 shops and restaurants, Coligny Plaza is named after the Admiral Gaspar de Coligny, a French admiral who led two excursions to our shores in the late 1500’s. While visiting the plaza be sure to take a moment to stop and relax by the duck pond located in the middle of the plaza.

Other attractions located in this Ocean Community are the islands only Water Fun Park, the Coligny Theatre and the world famous Van der Meer Tennis Center.
